That's a lot for a directory with no PR. Where's the beef?

I've paid less than that for listings on a PR4 page. I think you should consider adding sites for free while the directory matures, or at least dropping the price.

    As always, IMO.

BayEngine is a paid directory for one reason, less sites = more exposure for the sites listed.

200 Pageviews goes along way when there are fewer listings.

Would you rather it free and be on the 10th page of listings, or the first page and pay $14.95....that is a question you have to ask for yourself.

Thanks for the opinions, but this directory is paid and a little more expensive for reasons. I have spent a lot of time on the design and branding and it will pay off in the long run.

I think the design of the site is first class. It's tight and very professional. I'm certain your directory will do well.

I'll stay subscribed to this thread, in case you decide to change your mind about the pricing at some point.

I am sure it is not expensive. Considering way this directory is going this will be very quality listing that will pass both pr and traffic to sites listed.

    ok

At some stage in the past I submitted a site to a directory by the name of 'bayengine '.

Since the beginning fo June I have been receiving spam to the address given for the submission. All the spam is similar image-based spam.

How do I know that a directory with the name bayengine gave my email address out? I always gave a unique email address for each and every submission which gets caught in a catch-all mailbox. I keep records of those mail addresses.

    Question for you...
You list "Regular Links w/ Reciprocal : $9.95"
Is that a one time fee or annual recurring fee?

I have one site listed with you already (reciprocal link in the footer of my directory- at my site which receives 6,500 visitors per day). If it's a one time charge I will do the same with my other site but would like to be sure.

Please let me know so I'm sure first :)
    Thanks

rgh, with all due respect I seriously think you're mistaken about Bayengine giving your e-mail address out. If they did that a whole bunch of other people would also have had problems-- and I don't hear any of the rest of us talking about any problems with them-- so I think it's some other issue in your case and not Bayengine.

All Regular Links are one time charge. Your Listing will be live permanently :)

In Regards to rgh, I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. I would never do such a thing and have never done anything of that sort. I think you have been mistaken as our directory is very well respected and has many satisfied customers. We have even opted out of confirmation emails for the convienience of our customers.

I will certainly support NRLMedia on this. I probably have more listings in the directory than anyone, and I have not gotten spam from it.

I just wonder did this directory have a previous existance? I see that many categories are empty - is your directory new? Perhaps someone owned this domain before you?

Again, I would like to say that I certainly do not want to make unfounded accusations. I have been signing up to directories here at DP and always use the name of the directory in the email address given. I have been receiving spam to an address that was given for a directory called bayengine. To be safe I checked to see if perhaps there were other TLD's with that domain name.

If you want to PM me I can certainly forward the mails to you. I would like to make sure that if this is some error on my part that I can apologise publicly to you.
