I've been using Dropbox for the past week and have found it really useful. For those that don't know, it's a free and easy to use way to share and store your files online. It gives you 2.2GB of free space for backups and automatically syncs between PCs in real time. Great for those of us who've forgotten vital files when at work/uni. I have used xdrive in the past for my online storage needs. Care to explain how it is different from it since xdrive offered lot more space than this program! Btw...AF is right....One is not allowed to post affiliate links in the posts... Regards, RightMan
Watch the screencast to see why it's better/different than other services. It does automatic synching across an unlimited amount of computers.
That's just what they call it. Like I said, I don't get any commission or anything, it just gives new sign-ups a 250MB bonus. If you don't want the free space, just use http://dropbox.com/
Anyone got any hints or tips for making the most of dropbox? Anyone found it useful? The screencast really shows its power...
There are lot's of storages which provide 10 or even 15GB for free and you don't need to call your friends or smth like this.
I used Dropbox for a while because the people I was doing some work for wanted me to. Definitely useful and easy to use, although I had some weird compatibility issues with my computer at the time (Was on an older Mac OSX system). I've also been told that it's pretty easy to hack, but I haven't heard of anyone I know personally having issues!
