There are over 400,000 searches for urban legends each month, and I want a portion of that traffic. Make sure title of your stories is good. Comment on commentluv enabled blogs (dofollow, nofollow whatever).. be sure to make a witty, useful comment. Readers and owner of the blog is bound to notice your blog and might link to it. There are other standard methods like making top 10 lists etc.
beside blog and forum posting you can try flickr link back.post your image and see what you could find out from your listing at Flickr.for me this is the best SERP technique and I think not so many people know about this
