How much is too much for link building?

For a new site's SEO, can anyone tell me how much is too much link building?
I read here and there that too much link building raise a flag and Google penilize your site or even put you in Sandbox...I know that but what I don't know is how much is too much.

Is putting links 100 links a week too much, or is putting 100 links/day still OK if this is not beyond human's control....

I really have no idea if I should keep putting links or not.

Do you think the content of your site is so great that 100 other web sites would naturally want to link to you every week?

if so then have at it... Get 100 links/wk.

But you would have to have one hell of a site or talk about some super hot topic IMO for that to be true.

I would suggest starting slowly, and increasing the number of links you get per week over time.

 

Thanks for the reply.I understand what you are saying. The numbers I put is just for examples. Just I didn't know the standard numbers. I thought everyone had different opinions about what is "natural". I thought it's possible to get 100/w links naturally if the site was interesting enough...(I'm not saying my site is interesting, but I wonder how Google can tell it's interesting enough to have people put links to or not? They can't analize the content of the site itself, at least not yet...all they can do now is to tell the "topic" of the site, right?)

Raheel, three questions you have asked here only meant that you need url in you signature very quickly. Its not done this way.
If you have a website or blog you can earn from adsense. both are same.

 

Too much links can create a spamming issue. limit it to 25 per week. which is enough ..

 

I think getting 100 links/week for a month old site should be just fine. Though it depends on the kind of site as well.

 

This problem are also confused me, because i do backlinks for a website that is about web hosting. This is a website whose PR is 3. So i do not think 100 links per week to it is too much. Or even more.

How many links to a website is good? This question may be different when it comes to different website. For a new website, my suggestion is keep balance on link building and website' contents creating. Google will doubt that there exsit too many links in a short time, and will penlilize your website. To make a good impression on Google, you should build original contents in your website at the same time.

I do not pay much attention on the quatity of backlinks. The essential meaning for backlinks is its quality. I would like to build 10 outbound links except 100 smap links.
