What Makes a Great Looking EZA Resource Box?

    Hey guys!

I have been quite active here in the ClickBank forum just recently reading many topics on article marketing and ezinearticles.com in particular.

I am a bit of a noob where article marketing is concerned.

Now as far as writing articles goes I think I have that in the bag, but I would still appreciate your thoughts on PLR articles?

Now my question is what makes a great looking resource box? with that I mean how can I ensure I get a good CTR of people clicking on my link in it.

Would you be able to give an example of a great looking resource box?

Thanks for the link PHAZ, I have taken the advice on the blog and have included below what I have come up with for my resource box.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Ben Brooks

    http://best-skincare-advice.com

Discover How You Can Get Clearer, Healthier, And Better Looking Skin Almost Overnight - Guaranteed!

After nearly 5 months of gathering all the information and applying it to my own skin, the results speak for themselves! I'm 100% acne free with incredible skin.

I wanted to share my new found wealth after so many people asked how I did it.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Could you please advise me on any changes that I will need to make to improve it?

make it seem less of an advert and more of a follow on to the article

I would try to make it more personal and natural, people love to hear from someone who is experiencing/experienced the same as they but in a natural way, so it doesnt look like you are persuading them to click on your link. Try something like "My name is Ben Brooks I am 25 years old and I have fought a battle against acne for years just as you. After excess research and testing I was fortunate enough to finally find a guide that helped me to get rid of acne for once and all. Please visit my website HERE to learn how I did it".

Thats great advice, thanks tibor28 :) Can you add a clickable link to the resource box? other than the http:// link

No problem :) Yes eza allows clickable hyperlinks. To make a clickable link you have to use this HTML code:

    <a href="URL HERE">TEXT HERE</a>

and make sure that your url starts with "http://" because if you start with "www." it wont work ;)

In my testings, short and straight to the point resource boxes get the most CTR. I used to have a longer bio box that was along the lines of "my name is blah blah and if you want to lose weight and get blah blah, then you have to blah blah and take a look into blah blah so that you can blah blah blah blah blah and on and on".....lol.

My ctr jumped from an average of 15% to around 40%+ since I went with the shorter one line bio box. Also, as others mentioned, make sure your bio box is something of like a continuation to your article.

so does it mean you go for a simple one like ' If you liked this article, click here for more info?'

Below I have my new revised resource box:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Ben Brooks I am 29 years old and I've been in your shoes.

Ever since the age of 13, I have dealt with rosacea, acne, and very oily skin in general.

I've tried so many different "treatments" that were supposed to work, but unfortunately, they all seem to lack that one thing that did the trick.

For over 15 years, I dealt with horrible skin that I wouldn't wish upon my enemies!

But now, my complexion is nearly flawless all because of what I've learned. Unfortunately, it took me 15 years to find out how to get it.

Now, I wasn't going to let everyone know how I did it, but I've had so many people asking that I decided to create something just for you!

How You Can Easily Clear Your Acne,
Oily Skin, And So Much More!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

    What do you think?

Sounds good to me. Much more personal! I am quite a newbie to article marketing too. I was wondering if you need to put your name in the resource box or not? as it say you should put your name like this and not like this blah blah but the is no other place to put it and.. the system puts it in anyway.

Yes much better now. If you can cut the lenght in half and keep the same message though it would be perfect. But you can leave it as it is now, I am sure you will achieve a decent CTR since the people in this niche dont mind spending a bit more time reading if the information will help them to get rid of their worst enemy :)

    Hi,

I think also you get more people clicking through if you get "involved" with the niche you are promoting, for instance if you were doing a WOW Gold guide you might put:

Click Here To Find Out How To Top 300 Gold In A Day Without Professions!

You see the above line mentions professions which are a factor in the game so the people clicking through will see you have an idea of what you are writing about.

Please let me know if this makes sense?

I find it works very well.

    All the best

    Chris

Yup I know what you mean, I don't play the game but I know anyone without a profession anywhere will do worse off than anyone IN a profession... Unless. They know some amazing secret! :)

Nooooooooooooo, that resource box is long and boring :( Don't bore your readers with some BS. Make your point directly with no fluff. They've read your article already, and they don't want to read another one in your resource box, lol

i have to agree with bl4ckmaN^ ... you need to capture their attention much earlier ... unless well written i think one line is too short though IMO ... maybe try halving what you have, as a start ...

Try to make it an extension of your article, not an obvious break & "CLICK HERE" link.
