I want to advertise my website using ReviewMe http://www.reviewme.com as an advertiser... but how effective is that? If I use that then I get dofollow links right? Will Google penalyze me for promoting my website using ReviewMe?

    Please share your views....

I don't think Google will penalize you, as there are tons of website owners who are also doing this.

However, I would not suggest that you pay someone to review your site. For sure, they will be just too good to be true. There are a lot of other way to advertise your site, as some of them are even free.

Google has made it clear that they don't like these types of sites, so it might be better to be safe than sorry. There are other, safer, ways to get quality backlinks. Odds are you'd be fine using reviewme, but it is a risk.

Agree with jdsonline. Using backlink farms could put you in the Google sandbox. My suggestion would be to write some real blog entries and post them yourself. The idea is to get exposure, but the quality of the exposure counts too. Plus, isn't that ideally what the web should be rather than a mess of paid blog entries just so everyone can try to be #1 on Google?

Where is the link that goes to the page that will have your url?

    I don't see a a page with any url's.

There has to be a link to that page, or the spiders cannot index any url.

You may want to ask them about that before you fork over your money.

    Or did I overlook it???

Last time I used them, only thing I didn't liked was that they ask publishers to write a line which states that the post was a paid review. This can work against advertisers as Google is against paid links, I'm not sure whether ReviewMe has changed its terms now or not.
