autoblogging. Done right, autoblogs look like real sites, so the search engines love them. Read up on it at www.bloggerhigh.com

Autoblogging is a fad that will NOT last. The reason? Google is smart enough to tell when something like that is automated and there is spun or duplicate content.

What Google DOES love however, is backlinks on high PR sites with lots of relevance. With my system of backlink building I am able to put backlinks on a real blog network of sites with different class IP's (which is very important). If all of your links are on your sites with the same IP's then there is a red flag with Google and your days are numbered.

So the web development companies must adapt to create new classes of ips?

i honestly feel that diversity among your link building methods is key. i would not focus on only one way to build links in that like one poster said, google is smart and will catch up with non ethical link building practices.

I agree with ploked. You have to diversify you link profile. Assuming forum links are great and your site is ranking 1 for your keyword with 100s of forum links. One fine day, google says we don't like forum links anymore.. And you drop down to 50th page.

It's still the same mix. Articles, videos, blog commenting, social bookmarking, etc. Just have to keep plugging away and be consistent.

I would argue that a diverse strategy of link building is the best. If you can get links from directories, article sites, blogs, press release sites, and various other sites across a wide range of IPs and national and regional sites, that will give you the best results. Remember, no matter how they change the algorithm the same principal applies: natural diverse inbound links from relevant sites is what SEs want.

I've seen ssoooooo many opinions here on DP forums.. about how :

Google do not like directories anymore
    Google penalize the link exchanges
Google do not index links from SB sites
    Google hate forums and signatures
Google do not like articles because of the duplicate content
    ...
    etc etc...

but.. still.. those are the link building methods.

I think a combination of all those can get you some results, but avoid to use just one or 2 link building methods.
    Use diversity.
And also, always remember using good anchor key/name/text.

Getting different class c ip is difficult. I think we should get a list of hosting services providers in order to do this. All unlimited hosting account might not help in this.

Don't listen to this guy! Autoblogging will get you banned once reported by your competition. The honest way to link build is by trying lots of different avenues and being relevant to your niche.

Diversity is the key IMO. I use as many different methods as possible. If you rely solely on the one method you are in danger if things suddenly change. The old saying to not put all your eggs in the one basket is especially true when link building.

    Social bookmarking sites.

To answer the OP's question. I still feel that all the link building techniques combined and diversified would work well now, to avoid google's eye falling on us.

great thread - everyone is right- the old techniques (social media, article syndication, directory submissions) still work like a charm.. don't listen to contentboss he's just pushing his own products like he always does on this forum - autoblogging is a terrible technique, if you know what you're doing setting up a new blog is as simple as deciding what to eat for dinner, probably simpler in my opinion..

i've tried everything out there to bring down the costs of link building and article creation and syndication.. while you can get away with cheap and free link building techniques, content costs good money unless you are a writer... and article sphinning software/autoblogging software is no good in the long run if you;re serious about your site.. even plugins that scrape the net for auto-publishing content is no good, although you can get away with it if you only use it for about 30-40% of your site's content.. but like i said if you are serious about your sites you wouldnt waste your time with these techniques..

with google ive learned the hard way that unique good content goes a long way (for long-tail traffic especially) and as for link building techniques - they all still work (although forum posting is pretty useless these days as google can easily spot "signatures" within the main forum softwares) just make sure to mix up the techniques, don't go crazy with any of them and use good keyword rich anchor texts but be SURE to mix them up all the time
