    Ok on my site: http://docmazy.com

The download toolbar has been pretty effective (conduit), but the click through adds/cj ads (after you make a search).

I know it's a bunch of ads on the right side, but I'd like to change out of the PPC ones, is there any good CPM for early sites or what would you recommend? I want to make less ads, but be more effective.

I don't mind getting rid of all ads, maybe adding a popin (but my buddy said popins are really annoying, so that may not be a good idea).

    Please help me brainstorm.

Well, first thing when I went onto the site, I was thinking. "What does this site do?" Took me a minute or two to figure it out, but to someone who is new, it only takes a second to hit the back button. So, my first advice is to have write under your site logo saying what the site does/is, something small will do.

okay, i'm back from my second look and noticed your about page. The link was very hard to see and I didn't notice it at all. My advice just move the about me to the front page.

The next thing I recommend is really up to you, but I'd totally remove ads from the front page. This will give users of a clean/fresh feel and it will keep people at your site longer.

Lastly, in the search results have an advert right under your PDF Documents, Word Documents etc and just above the first search result. Users can easily avoid your ads if you push them to the right hand side.

Good luck and hope this has helpped you.

Actually that helped a lot and many of those things were things I was thinking about doing, so your confirmation makes me feel good about them.

    Thanks!

Any other advice is appreciated as well!
