Even the mighty Google is feeling the economic pinch and laying off workers. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29913471/ If you wonder why your Adsense earnings and Adwords conversions are low, don't be too quick to blame Google. The economy is hammering everyone, and it will probably get worse. I wish everyone that lost their jobs at Google and other companies the best. Hopefully things will turn around and these people can be called back.
I wonder if we will still wonder about SEO tricks and page PR when we are all living in our underground bunkers with our stockpiled guns and MRE's.....IM KIDDING FOLKS!!!! (I know we will still wonder about those things)
200 isn't much, but it does go to show that no company is immune to the economic climate that we are in.
Hello... http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/03/26/google-plans-to-lay-off-200-workers/?ref=media Yip.. it was bound to happen, stock has dropped by 2/3 in the last year or so, and adsence revenue pays nothing tighting up the belt just like everyone else... Goodluck Malcolm1
I've noticed Quite alot of people seem to be relating this to low adsense payouts, google feeling "the credit Crunch" and all that jazz. As far as Im aware I thought adsense payouts were a part of the advertisers money? google just takes the biggest chunk of the advertisers money
As i recall back in the day (1-2 years back) a click on an attorney link would get ya $20-$30 bucks now its $1-2 bucks or a few "pennies" so evidently either google is taking a larger chunk/cut or attorneys aren't advertising like they used to... check out the DP adsense section threads... thx malcolm
