    Hi!

I have a digital camera magazine site with about 3500 pages. Site age is 3 year and traffic is about 1000 visits/day now.

My google traffic dropped dramaticaly (from 900/day to 150/day) since January. I know that November and December get me more traffic because of the holiday, but my google traffic in September and October was much more (about 500/day) than now.

I noticed that very interesting things happening outside on the internet. I noticed that traffic comes from some sexual content sites to my site, but if I go and check that sites I can't find my link. Here are my traffic from another sites:

I'm afraid that google punish me because of this illlegal content sites.

Do you have any idea what to do?
Should I write a mail to someone at google?

    Thanks

Looks like referrer spam, fake hits to your server.
Some sites link to their top referrers, henche the referrer spam gives free backlinks.
And also free traffic, you checked out the fake traffic spam sites so I guess you know how that works ;)

    1.
    awful
now some chicks may consider you a "sexy" guy or hot guy :)
be aware of hot chicks now hunting you

    2.
    joke beside
all the site you worry about are owned by google = blogspot.com !

G never shoots ito own feet!

    3.
no penalty from quality of sites LINKING TO you since BL are out of your control

    4.
and finally I would more worry about getting more content = more traffic to your site
    economy goes into meltdown
    US into national default
    many other countries as well
and companies / advertisers may go bankrupt by the thousands
hence only quality content that is worthy during such years of global crisis can survive
digital camera manufacturers as well as PC / laptop manufacturers have existential problems
hence most likely that entire market experiences a meltdown and reorientation.
act before market reacts and adjust accordingly your content to remain attractive for ppl in crisis

You stated that you went to the sites to find your link, but could'nt.
Lot's of webmaster do the same, and gives the spammer lot of free traffic.

You have nothing to worry about, the sexual sites are not actually linking to you, it's just fake bot hits.

The reason of decrease in the traffic not in these adult-sites. Whether positions by the basic key inquiries have changed?

Google will not punish you unless you get links from dozen of such sites within a very short period. In case you will be contacting the webmasters of these subdomains - please ask them to link to the sites in my signature ;) Once again - do not worry about it!

Don't worry. Google won't penalize you because you are getting a link from sex / pharma sites because that is beyond your control. You will be penalized only when you give a link from your site to sex related sites.

Having someone place a link to your site from a sex site isn't going to hurt your rankings. If that were the case, professional webmasters and SEO folks would spend all day building crappy sex/pharm links to the site of any competitor. As you can't control who links to you, Google doesn't count it.

I doubt it, reported or not it will not damage his ranking as long as it is one way link and he is not linking to them.
As said zillion times across DP, what if I buy some cheap porn/viagr...and other miserable links to my competition??? Will I ruin them? Not at all. Just these links won't count as they are not related to the particular niche.

However, I also think it is referrer spam, just ignore them..even don't visit their sites...
