Hello Everyone, I am bit confused about the appropriate length of the title and meta description tags. Quite often SEOs suggest that title should be of 65 characters and description of 165 characters as Google does not display more characters than these. But some say that although Google doesn't display these many characters yet it crawls and index them and therefore we can use more characters. Which one is true?
I think that it doesn't matter if google crowls or not, try not to use more than 65 characters, its useless.
I doubt it.. Do you want to say, the tile should be 9 characters only ?? As far as I know, 65 char for titles is fine..
Lately there has been a trend of short titles, less amount of keywords and more meaningful description.
good length title contain 25 Characters & Max. title length should be 65. good description length is 165 Characters & Max. description length should be 200.
length isn't a matter but the appropriate chosen of keywords and description is also matter... you can with the 70-80 in title and 165-185 into Description tags. Cheeres
Ohh a question on the side line here, do we get penalized if we repeat a keyword more than three times and what about a keyword that appears in the combinations, such as "old computers", "used computers", "branded computers" .. I hope you see what I mean here.
Yeah if i were you i'd keep it to 50 for title and 150 - 175 for description. Not that meta makes a blind bit of difference in my eyes....
