If you submitting your articles to digg, for links and maybe some occasional traffic. Do you think it matters if the article only gets 1-2 votes, or some 20-30?
Obviously the ones with more votes will do much better. Those extra votes will help you get more traffic from that social bookmark. It would also get you more links as those diggs would show up in each of those people's profiles.
If you become more popular on digg you'll get more traffic from your submission. If you get to front page you are likely to get A LOT of traffic. Getting to the front page of Digg is not just about getting a lot of Diggs though. Each Digg carries a different amount of weight based on account age, number of friends, activity and many other factors. This is what makes it so hard to get to the front page of Digg.
I have never submitted anything that has gotten over 4 Diggs and judging by analytics I would say that I am getting next to no traffic from Digg but the backlinks that I have gotten along with the quick indexing of new sites or content to an existing site has been invaluable.
More votes means more traffic. The higher the number of people digging up your post, the more it become visible to other publishers. I suggest you build good relationship with your co-blogger so that your contents will receive more votes.
If you have more votes means more traffic but if you don't have more votes still you can get more traffic though search engines.
Thanks for stating the obvious. The question naturally refers to your own experience rather than logic. From what I've seen traffic is usually negligible in both cases, but possibly the links may matter more?
from my experience... i don't think it matter for traffic if you have 1 vote, or... lets say 30. But with more votes you can have some extra backlinks, because your url is listed in the profile of people who voted your article. This is most important than a few visitors
ITs really depend on the article you submit. If the article is a news braking or something it would get more votes.
its mailnly depend upon your content, otherwise digg is powerful and more chances to get good results
If the content is popular then youll have no problems getting traffic, digg is good for getting backlinks.
It definitely matters, the more diggs the more exposure an article gets. The problem is its not easy to get 20-30 diggs.
Sure it is, just ask your friends to digg with. It's a social network... that's how everyone else gets them
if any digg story get more vote its not mean it is a best story than other stories,it mean only story submiter user has more friend and hi comment other story and his link is get good response frome search engins indiandigg.com
Don't forget to juice up your "diggs" this way.... After you "digg" an article, wait to see if it shows up on the first few pages of Google for your keyword. Now visit that "digg" link and bookmark your digg - at other places like delicious, stumbleupon, etc. You can even get backlinks to that digg from other sources - think blog commenting, etc. In my experience this works even better than waiting around trying to get lots of votes at digg itself.
