can't upload wordpress theme?

    OK, Wordpress has me literally ready to scream. I finally found a theme that I like so I downloaded it to my PC and attempted to upload it to my blog via Filezilla. When I drag and drop the folder into wp-content/themes, it looks like all the files are transferring successfully....then when it is supposed to be finished....nothing is there! Only the default themes that were there before show up. I am not getting any error messages or anything.

    Could someone PLEASE tell me what I could be doing wrong? Thanks so much!

    Are you definetly uploading to the correct folder. - Also try pressing F5 to refresh. Sometimes when I upload I can't see the files until I refresh.

    Are sure that the wp-content/themes folder already contains that theme's folder? and take a look if the file within the theme is all there.

    I know this doesn't solve your FTP problem, but you could try a browser upload from your cpanel with File Manager.

    When you unzip the folder, there are two folders created. For example, if I have a zip folder rahul.zip. I have two files in this folder, image.jpg and index.php
    If I unzip this, it will create two folders, rahul/rahul/index.php. When you upload the theme, open it, and see if you are uploading the actual folder, not the folder outside it..
    (I don't know how to explain this)

    Check out the folder that you just uploaded.

    If the content of the theme is in .../themes/THEME_NAME/THEME_NAME/{contents}

    Then you should upload the second "THEME_NAME" inside the first "THEME_NAME" folder ONLY, you get me?

    It happened with me when i was doing my client work and also with one of my site, it is not ur fault u r doing everything right. Its is ur host mistake.

    Contact them and ask them. However if u need that theme now then upload via cpanel file manager. (File manager will not give u any error)
