Promote the list or the product

    Hey guys. I've set up a few squeeze pages for some products, and have been promoting them with articles.

    They get some signups, and right now I have it so that they just get the information they wanted - no promotion or anything.

    I'm debating whether I should wait until my list gets big and then promote it as kind of a discovery, or breakthrough?

    I'm also wondering if I should send like half my traffic directly to a landing page/product page, and the other half to the squeeze page or just one or the other.

    I'd build up there trust with good info over a few weeks, then start to hint at a product.

    Don't worry about the size of the list. Your strategy for promotion should be based on one single individual customer. Your subscribers don't know about the size of your list, so their perception of your emails is the same whether you've got 10 or 10,000 other people.

    When you build a list, first understand is the niche good for building list? can you offer more than one product to the list? e.g. weight loss niche is very good for building list.

    I send seven sequential followup letter to my list. I do cold selling.
