Abnormally Extreme Impressions - no increase in pageviews

I titled this abnormally "extreeme" rather than abnormally high, impressions. Maybe someone can offer a clue.

My site works very proportionately. My sites high range for PAGEVIEWS is 1100. And in my Adsense account, that will produce around 800 IMPRESSIONS.

Yesterday, I noticed 1200 IMPRESSIONS around supper time, and it maxed-out close to 1600 impressions by midnight.

When I went to Google Analytics, I was expecting to find a pageview total to match - like 1800 PAGEVIEWS. Guessing that maybe someone linked to my site on an unknown high volume website.

Instead, my PAGEVIEWS were 900, which is just a moderate day, and should have shown no more than 750 IMPRESSIONS.

Is there any way that someone could stuff code of our pages at their site so that Google might interpret it as our site's activity?

    Thanks

My Google adsense account shows high page imp today. My traffic not increased.

Only page imp increased, not click.

I worried about the same thing but it looks like most people are seeing an unusual amount of page impressions. Good thing is revenue is not being affected.

    We are, or you are?

My first post beat that one's first post by 3 hours didn't it?

Either way, it's nice to see the feedback.

My revenue did not seem to be affected in any odd way. My main concern is that the CTR does not take a hurt.

    :D
