you are right. If the movie was released in India, it wouldn't have bagged that many awards...mainly because we are kind of used to stories like that (essentially it's a love story). But this is a really good movie and has been directed very well.
i think its an ordinary movie..i dono whats special in it..but hey the music is good and the kids are cute..
I have seen people opening threads on the same topics quite a few times. I think it messes up the entire thing. Instead, when opening a new thread, members can do a search to see if the thread on the same topic does not already exists.
The movie is awesome and it surely deserves it specially the songs are awesome like Paper planes and oo saya and latika's theme in the movie is great too .. OVerall the music, lyrics, dialogues, songs are great but one thing i don't like is that they used a bit abusive language in the movie. Thanks PHYza
if somone made this film in india no one gonna watch it but because of foriegn producer and director it got 8 oscar.its a 1980s type of film in india. i din't even like this film it has just shown the slums of india
I watched Slumdog Millionaire this morning and was pleasantly surprised. Striking cinematography, great score, solid performances.. Reminded me of 'City of God', another great, heavily-stylized movie with a similar plot structure..
