Everyone says very general things like "get backlinks" and "submit to directories" but I would like to learn the basic techniques and reasons behind them to take over a fairly easy keyword like Hawaii exotic girls. I would like detailed specifics, like HOW to obtain quality backlinks, and which directories to submit to. Fwiw, commenting on blogs and leaving my name as Hawaii exotic girls doesn't really seam to be working, as it's really hard to find related blogs that are dofollow. I was at #4 for a while, but for some reason got slapped by google recently, and now don't rank in the top 100. The site is http://hothawaiiexoticgirls.com .
I would be willing to part with a few bucks for someone to write me out a couple paragraph detailed guide on how to do it myself, yes.
Well, you are the victim of Google Dance.. And everyone normally becomes it's victim. And I don't think you will get the point if SEO consultant write you a paragraph for doing jobs coz SEO is not so easy as you think. And also there will be vast difference between your work and professionals. Do you have any experience in these works :- - On-site optimizaiton - blog commenting - forum posting - creating pages in other domains and others. If yes, then you might be able to work on written basis else hire someone.
It would be best to help you if you could give details on what you have already done. I did some keyword research and see that only about 6,000 sites are indexed for that exact phrase. It should't be that hard with a few articles and couple of blog comments in the right places. Actually this thread is frontpage for that key phrase. So you are not needing a rocket science solution for this. First tell me what you have already done and I can fill in the gaps.
Hey Mynetincome I have commented on maybe 20 blogs that I found with Fast Blog Finder, anywhere from PR 1 - PR 4 pages, with the anchor text "Hawaii exotic girls." I have optimized the site (even though I'm not an expert) with the appropriate keywords in posts and titles. I have "hawaii exotic girls" in the domain name. That's pretty much it. Last time I checked my backlinks, it said google doesn't recognize any of my backlinks. Also, I rank 1st page for my keyword in Yahoo and MSN, and was first page on google for a while and then about 2 weeks ago I got bitch slapped by them and am now nowhere in top 100. Anything else you want to know?
I am assuming that you are making sure those blog comments are "do-follow". I have a squidoo page on that very subject here: squidoo.com/SEO-Linking-Tips if you are not sure. Writing ezine articles at ezinearticles.com is a pretty good way of getting some links. Also what I think is your biggest problem is that you do not have much for content. You really need to write some words surrounding that key phrase. For a site with photos, make sure you are tagging your photos with keywords as well as naming the file with keywords. You will need to really build some good quality backlinks in order to get just pictures to rank well. I'm fairly positive with very little effort you can get that key word. Also be sure you are not over doing it with your keywords keyword spamming can get you slapped by google.
Thank you very much for the informative post. Even though I knew some of it already, you filled in some gaps for me. Come to think of it, I would be the reason I got slapped by google was the keyword spamming thing. I may have gone a bit overboard with naming of posts/pics/catagories/etc. Anyways, thanks man, and I'll write a followup to let everyone know how it's going!
Is http://hothawaiiexoticgirls.com the URL on your site that was ranking #4? Or was it a different page on your site?
Hi Canonical, thanks for taking the time to try to help me figure this out. Yes, it was my homepage, the one you linked to that was at #4 at one point a week or so ago. It started out at #15 or so, then moved it's way up (I assume because of my blog commenting) and hit #4 in about a month, then just dropped out of the top 100 all the sudden one day. Btw, is there a way to find out why I got slapped by Google? I still rank first page in MSN and Yahoo for Hawaii exotic girls...
I just reread this and realized I'm not clear on exactly what keyword spamming is. Is it using the same keyword over and over or using nothing but keywords (but different ones) for things like image tags and image file names? For example, I tend to use keywords for catagories, like "Hawaii exotic girls", "hot italian girls", "hot korean girls", etc. and put posts in multiple catagories. I also make post titles just keywords, but different ones. I do not though use the same keyword many times in a single post. Would that be considered keyword spamming?
I have a formula that bears no scientific reasoning, it just works for me for my ezine articles and squidoo lenses. I will put my targeted key phrase in the title. For a 400 word article i will put that exact key phrase in about 4 times no more than 5. Other than the key phrases, I just write the rest of the article naturally and avoid using the words in my key phrase too often and only if they fit and it's not obvious that i'm just spamming key words. My rule of thumb is that i spread out my key phrase once every 70 - 80 words and the first time i use the key word i bold it. However, as of recent ezinearticles has been un-bolding them but i have not seen any difference in traffic though. This same rule works well for my blog posts as well. I have two blogs/ or squidoo lens for each campaign. One blog/lens will link to my articles. The other blog/lens will get links from my articles. I'm by no means making millions with this but It works and I make sales and I have never paid a single penny for marketing. I have bought some ebooks that are very helpful and what I just told you came from one of those ebooks.
Wow, just wow. After I've been stressing over this for over a month now, just looked at the SERPS. This thread is #3 for that search term while my homepage is nowhere to be found, and only one random page of mine is #22 or something. Ouch.
If you cant find related blogs you can post on non related blogs. I have seen lots of sites get better rank even from non relevant links.
my friend every one will give u general ideas that u should get oneway link or submit article but the tactics through which these things are done... u have to learn it by ur self or hire SEO...
