Hello I just today recieved the message from paypal saying something like: /////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Notification of Limited Account Access Dear ******@hotmail.com, As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. We recently contacted you after noticing an issue on your account. We requested information from you for the following reason: We recently received a report of unauthorized credit card use associated with this account. As a precaution, we have limited access to your PayPal account in order to protect against future unauthorized transactions. Case ID Number: some number In accordance with PayPal's User Agreement, your account access will remain limited until the issue has been resolved. Unfortunately, if access to your account remains limited for an extended period of time, it may result in further limitations or eventual account closure. We encourage you to follow our verification procedure as soon as possible to help avoid this. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// The message looks real but there are two problems: 1) First it was in my junk folder. 2) Message was send from "service@paypalservice.com", but domain paypalservice.com is parked at sedo. Did anybody recived similar messages, please help.
its fake message for sure... because paypal never sends any email from any other domain - and why dont you login to your paypal and see that the service is limited or not... hope this helps...
Yes, I checked my paypal and I didn't see any messages there, so I guess it is fake. Those s*ckers used paypal's graphic format so it is almost impossible to see if the message is fake. Good thing I didn't follow their "verification process".
omg its spam just forward it to It so easy to tell if the email is a spam. Just move your mouse over the link look at the link it isn't paypal then it is a spam for sure!!!!
For security reason, if you get any emails from paypal do not follow the link provided in the email as you can't be sure if its fake or not. Login to your paypal account to see if you have any messages there.
This method surely helps.... Btw....it is always helpful if one double checks the links received in mail and it is best if little more effort is taken in writing the relevant link in the new browser window manually.... This way, one can eliminate falling prey to spammers using typo domain names... Regards, RightMan
And another thing to notice that paypal always use like 'Dear Your Name' instead of here using 'Dear email account' Make a habit that always login to your any financial as well as other accounts by opening a new window and type full url of that site yourself. DON.
Its a fake message lol. its obvious, just take a look at the email @hotmail. its practically a free email, and paypal doesnt own a free email.
******@hotmail.com is my email, they actually used "service@paypalservice.com". By the way the one who sent me this email must be copletely retarded to park paypalservice.com at sedo.
