•• $80 Article contest!! ••

Hello writers!

I am going to be running an article writing competition next week. To enter the competition you will have to enter a 500 word article about the following topic: 'fly fishing tackle and equipment'. More in depth guidance on possible article titles, keywords and topics will be given next week.

The winner will be selected based on the quality of the article.

This format is unusual for article writing but I think will reward those who write quality articles!

In order to increase the numer of winners and your chance of winning the prize money will be in the following format:

1st position - $50
2nd position - $20
3 position - $10​

In order to help me prepare the contest I am asking people to register there interest by PMing me.

I am going to come up with a more comprehensive set of rules but the basics are obvious: all articles should be unique etc etc.

This week would also be a good chance to ask any questions before the contest starts.
When you submit your article the copyright passes into my ownership.
I will provide guidance as the contest goes on with regards to helping people get there articles as good as possible.

TBH, I agree with senobia .

You should let the copyright remain to the original article writer and only the winning Article copyright should be given to you.

It's just my Opinion.

 

I think it's unfair to use articles that didn't win the competition. Check out other contest threads here-- contest holders don't utilize logos or PSDs of losing entries.

You can PM me your article or email it to me as a word document. The email to submit articles to is .

Rules

By entering this competition you agree to the rules.
Articles must be unique.
Articles must be 500 words minimum, 750 maximum.
Each participant can enter the competition as many times as they wish.
Payment will be made by Paypal but is flexible if you wish to have payment by another method such as cheque.
The contest will end at midnight, on Sunday 12th April 2009. The winners usernames will be displayed in the forum thread within 48 hours of the contest ending.

Article must have been written by the entrant and copyright held by the entrant.
When you submit your article the copyright passes into my ownership.

I am in. I prefer to write about "Trout Fishing Nets". Is it OK?

 

That's the risk you take when entering, 10 minutes work for many writers for a chance of winning $50 rather then getting usual rates of $5 to $10

This contest has now come to an end. It certainly sparked some controversy amongst the DP community.

Obviously $50 was not enough to tempt people to enter the contest and there were no entries!!
