Some editors/SEO/Webmasters promise a listing and it will be so, if you can not control a listing in DMOZ, it doesn't mean nobody else can. In fact any senior editor can promise a listing and also deliver.

Nice try, but try acutally reading for content instead of skimming for reasons to criticize and contradict someone. Oh and hear is some more  for you.

Could someone please do me a favour and see if my site is actually "in que"? I don't expect you to approve it, I just want clarification if it is actually still in que for being reviewed, so I can re-submit or not.

Any help would be just absolutely awesome.

Maybe a link from dmoz is no more so special but if you think that many web-directories use the dmoz database then you'll understand that you'll get a lot of links ;)

The vast majority of those will be low or zero PR and all are probably discounted by Google as duplicate content so they are not in all likelihood going to help you one bit.

I waited months in between each resubmit!

After submitting my site, I left it and moved on. So I don't think I delayed by resubmitting :) I pretty sure it was deleted each time.

My main business is in quite a small niche, so the Dmoz category doesn't have many listings. But when it was finally accepted after 1+ years, my site had been redesigned so maybe that made the difference or maybe it was a new editor! I'll never know.

    Regards
    Neil
