Commenting on blogs to get backlinks

    When creating backlinks to my site by posting comments on blogs, does it make any difference if they have high page rank or not.

    You want them to have a high page rank b/c it helps you a lot more.
    You comment on higher page rank, your link is worth more stuff like that.
    Also you should check the PR of the actual post you're posting on too.
    That could help as well!

    Get the Firefox Plugin. It will display the sites pagerank in your menu.

    It certainly does matter what PR they have where you are commenting.

    I am rarely selective about PR / Traffic on a page before I comment on it. If you have a predefined list of blogs sorted by PR, you should go for the higher PR blogs first (they also tend to have more traffic).

    The Pagerank of a Blog comment will eventually decrease to zero, once a topic is archived.

    it's just fun, commenting to other blogs. only by doing a natural commenting, just like you talk to someone infront of you, comunicate without any contrived.

    you can see it through view source of the page where site links added. you can also see it by backlinks checker tools like backlinkwatch.com
