Works fine on my laptop 256MB and 80GB hard drive .... just need to use Firefox, gears and a semi decent connection and clean up your shit every now and then.

Due to the capacity of Vista that's why a bigger RAM is OK

Ditto, Vista is just too much on resources from my experience.

I use vista ultimate and have been for roughly the past 8 months. There is loads of controversial arguments over Vista and XP.

To clear things up there is no doubt Vista has much more capability's than XP, its mainly down to your computer. To run Vista you need a very good spec PC to gain the full advantages. I agree that Microsoft should of took this into account when writing the OS but using it with a Specd up PC it is amazing if you know how use all the features.

Overall i would say Vista is much better than XP but only if you have the right PC for it.

vista is not good enough in my eyes. they need a lot of resources only for Vista. XP is much better.

Let's hope that Windows 7 will be much better than XP or Vista. :)

At first glance, or first run vista is great. But after you start installing programs it starts slowing down tremendously. It is a resource HOG I wish I didn't switch to windows vista.

    Hi,
As per my concern, vista is not compatible with small memory size and not freely with POS. i am not in the favour to use the vista as a OS for my PC. I will prefer window XP in stead of vista. Generally the hanging problem have to be face with it.

Bought a laptop this year with Vista and found nothing wrong with it. I am beginning to think that it was just the bad news in the beginning has stuck because of gossip and not facts.

I run the old version of Photoshop, used corelDraw, Frontpage 2003, etc no problems. Outlook 02 didn't save passwords because it uses a different system, but oh well.

I've been using Windows Vista for more than an year and I am lovin' it. If you have a PC that can run Vista well, you'll never hate it.

    Thanks
