I tried putting an IM/ shoutbox in my site. My intention was to make the site more interactive. Instead, all I got were spam messages, threats and disturbing words. So I had to remove it immediately after ten hours.
ditto, you could report the thread btw, I don't care for chat boxes on forums either, it takes away from the conversations that are on the forums, and that isn't cool
To answer your question, somebody posted a comment on the IM on my site saying "Im gonna click your ads to get you banned". Was just trying to help. Sorry mods.
Why do you warning me and how do you do? You said someone tell you will click your ads to get you banned, so, if you turned it (IM/Shoutbox) off, they dont do it? Is it better than if someone can direct tell you what they think and what they do? I think the reason you said was bull... If you said that IM/shoutbox may be use almost your hosting resource then it helps. IM/shoutbox can help you have fun but may be make you sad. Anyway, thanks for your ideas. I just saying what i think, forgive me if i wrong.
My point is, when you have a shoutbox, people only misuse that. You only get frustrated, angry and disturbed.
If have to accepted it. It's a part of Internet. It's public. You can get frustrated, angry... but you can get smile, get fun... That's why a site alway have to have administrators, mods, and like a country always have to have a goverment . Am i wrong?
Yeah, great point. My big mistake is, the shoutbox I put in my site do not have registration/ authentication and admin approval. Do any of you guys have an idea where to get one with such features?
Googe it, you should suprise about the results But, first, Which language do you offen use? (mean PHP, ASP...) And you want to use it alone or use for phpbb forum, vbb forum,....?
