Hi Guys, I have made a few posts that (hopefully) will help people that are just starting out and are still to make their first check from CB. In this post I am going to talk about what I call "power linking" and this is basically when you take all of your efforts and link them together. So let's say that you have written 5 articles and submitted to EZA and then you have a US Free ad and a blogger blog, squidoo lens etc... What you should do is link them all together with a contexual link for best results. So you get your main keyphrase on the squidoo lens and link through to your blog, which in turn the blog links through to the Ezine article etc... If you put in this king of effort for all your keywords I have no doubt that you will get higher positions in the search engines and more sales. Move about and try as many different niches as possible and when you find one that is bringing the money in stick with it and really milk it! Hope this helps and if any of you need any help just send me a PM or post here. All the best Chris
Chris, you are doing awesome job in CB forum. I appriciate your efforts and and wish you a very good luck with you mission to educate newbies . This kind of stuffs do work but no one take an effort to describe. + Rep for you. Hope this will encourage you to do more.
Basically make a massive link chain through every medium which you use to promote with your main KW phrase as the anchor.
Very good idea! I guess I knew to do this, but your message focuses me to get it done as more of a priority. I just submitted a couple of EzineArticles, and one was rather quickly published (surprise! I must have done a decent job on that one.) I'll definitely link the EZA article to my blogs & my website with the anchor key words: How to write an e-book.
Thanks for the kind words Robert, I will try and keep cranking them out I mean I know alot of people do know this already but there are alot that don't too! Jacky8, what I mean is like rbf738 says you make a big chain of all your content so instead of writing 1 article for a keyword, I would write 1 article, 1 squidoo lens, 1 hubpage and 1 blog all for the same keyword with unique content. Then I would likn them all together so I might say in my squidoo lens my main keyword, that links through to my blog, then when they get to my blog it links through to my hubpage etc... This is more work but you will get more sales and better positions from it! Vigifrench, excellent you got it! Let me know if you need any more help? Chris
Wow - Great info Chris. This stuff works. I've personally seen some of Chris' stuff shoot right to the top of google serps. And I'll bet he's raking it in without having to spend a dime. Great stuff Chris.
However if someone happens to come to say your lens page, he is then linked to your ezine article, which is linked to your blog, which then links to the CB site. What are the chances that they will all follow the link path and end at your CB page. Do they not get fed up of following this chain of links rather than Everything to your landing/blog then to your CB. Does this chain of linking convert better?
Cheers Gary, Yep you don't do too bad yourself! Also thatsgreat2345, yes you can use another link if you want to link to the cb product or anything else, if you make a banner or picture they work quite well too. Chris
You don't necessarily want the visitor to click through all your links. The interlinking is done for SEO, so your pages rank higher. The links you want the visitor to click should be big and bold and obvious - "CLICK HERE FOR ...". The SEO links will have specific keyphrase anchor texts which you'd like to rank for.
Isn't it better to link all the squidoo lenses, hubpages, eza to your blog rather than link a -> b and b -> c and c->d Isn't it better to link a ->d, b->d, c->d ? Why isn't the first approach better?
Ok, let me ask this then.....Is it better to link to your EZA articles rather than link to everything else from the articles? I have not practiced linking to my articles. I only have been using them to link from. Am I really missing the boat on something? Thanks for any help.
Around 15% of the traffic to your ezine articles exits via those adsense links. I think thats the biggest disadvantage of EZA. They should lower their ads or offer adsense revenue share.
Why not link with some nice blogs . You can try once what is getting popularity now with carsww.blogspot
Yes you are right, jacky8. I believe the same about the rev-share. The only thing that keeps me coming back though is the ease in which i'm able to get my articles on the front page for my search terms. There is a article directory called jvpartners.com that offers rev-share and a system that enables you to write rich keyword articles. You can get rev-share on adsense, clickbank and amazon. It's a 50/50 exposure rating scheme. I've had moderate success but nothing to get excited about. I must be fair to say that I did not spend a lot of effort on it either.
Hi Guys, Well there are many different ways of doing this and some may be more effective then others: Jacky8 the way i link would be like this a>b>c>d and also a<b<c<d so they all interlink if you see what I mean? mynetincome.com regarding your question is it better to link everything to your articles rather then from them, I do both as much as I can however I normally only put 2 links in my EZA as they don't allow much more than this. As long as you make the call to action good then you will lose a bit of traffic through adsense on EZA but not much. Hope this helps! Chris
EZA and others article directories have me a little nervous about the resource box wording and links. They reject articles so easily. Plus, I know that SEO article experts say there's such a thing as a weak resource box message that doesn't generate good clicks. Any guidelines for how to write a 'good' resource message without getting your articles rejected?
just remember if you are going to include a link to the vendor page on all these "linking pages" then don't use the anchor text you are trying to rank for...
Great point NickE83...I'll just elaborate in case someone doesn't understand why.... If you use the anchor text to link to the merchant site then you are helping the merchant's page rank well for your keyword or phrase. So basically you are aiding your competition. So use the "click here" to send them to the merchant and use keyword rich anchor text to send them to your page. Thanks for bringing up that point NickE83. I see people making that mistake a lot. I hope I didn't overstate the obvious.
