I will suggest you to go through these article directories -ezine and articlesbase. They contain many articles based on SEO.

Do you mean you want to write SEO-friendly content, or that you actually want to write articles teaching others about SEO techniques (which is what it sounds like)? If the latter, I'd suggest you don't. There are already too many people spreading bad SEO information. Educate yourself well on a topic, or don't attempt to teach it to others.

If you want to write articles about the different SEO strategies, you first have to start educating yourself about what SEO is all about. Start with the basics first. Make sure that before you write any articles about SEO, you really know what you are talking about. Otherwise, you'll just add up to the trashy number of SEO articles i've seen and read.:D

Why you want to write articles on SEO? Is this part of your job or it is for your own use?

First, before writing I suggest that you experiment for while with SEO if you mean to suggest SEO techniques to people. You can search a search engines about SEO, SEO gurus, SEO marketing, SEO …. etc. Because there are so many articles and different ways to do it, I do not think there is a beginning. You can also buy some books about SEO from Amazon. At least many of these books have the advantage to be well structured. Sign up for many SEO newsletters. This will help.

If I had a penny for all the worthless articles on SEO posted on the web daily, I'd never have to work again.

I would certainly buy some good books from the Amazon, if I could afford them.

Also, thanks to all those who have given there useful comments.

Do you want to learn SEO or teach others about it? I wouldn't recommend tutoring others in a topic you haven't had much experience with. If you want to learn SEO and sell your services, I suggest signing up for the free email course from SEOBook.com, these guys really know their stuff.

There are tons of articles on SEO. If you really want to write something that stands out, you have to research, study, understand, apply and become a guru of the topic before you could write that unique piece of article.

In my opinion, rewriting will do, if you're a beginner in the SEO field. When rewriting, you'll come across some terms and words unknown to you. Then you can google those, thus educating yourself and memorizing stuff. I've been writing articles on gambling for about 2 years. Sometimes i even had to figure out the rules of certain games in order to be aware of what i was writing about. So, as mentioned before, study the field and enjoy your writing. ;)

Why, oh why? SEO is boring! I only write about it myself out of necessity. There is too much Voodoo involved and elitism, as is reflected in some of the replies to your post. Socrates was not a specialist in any of the areas that he questioned.

If you are set on SEO then jump in and get your feet wet. If you do write an article about it, please introduce your credentials, or lack thereof, as a warning to readers about how seriously to take your facts. It is no sin to write an article about what you know little. It is a sin to deceive the reader into thinking you have credentials that you do not. So let this be a caution and an encouragement.

Depending on where they live, rewriting may very well be illegal.

Oh, it can? So a rewriter might be caught and punished somehow, right?

Yes. In many countries, rewriting an article is a copyright violation. Only the copyright holder can make, or can grant permission for someone else to make, a derivative work like that.

Don't ever start spreading wrong information about any particular niche, even apart from SEO, it takes a lot of searching, learning and understanding to write an article, and SEO is a tough task, on the other hand many just write for the sake of either money or traffic, as multitude people want to learn and know about SEO my suggestion would be do hard work, learn a lot about your niche, and then, give relevant and true information. Learn first, than teach. :)
