Clickbank is F***ing Up Again

I have stat counter on all my landing pages and today I had 120 views from articles and I noticed I only had 17 hops. I usually have a 50% ctr from my landers. So I was checking what was going on and then I started clicking my own hops and nothing was being recorded. Then I bought a 10 dollar product through my own affiliate link and the sale wasnt registered,
I have been trying to figure out why this week i have no sales, Now I know! Clickbanks tracking is down or something

    2 questions:

Did you see yourself as the affiliate on the payment page?
Did the vendor receive a commission for this sale?

In other words, was the whole sale not registered at all, or was the sale registered and just you did not receive the affiliate %

About the hops: you might just be getting bad CTR. And they might not track instantly.

About the sale: it might take a while for the commission to come through.

Did you contact ClickBank, provide them with a receipt number and ask what happened?

Well I checked after I saw this thread and it seems there's no problem with my tracking code, don't know if this is a problem with CB's system because as I said I'm having no problems today.

    Regards

Clickbank should send an email to the vendor and affiliate to confirm that a sale has been made ! this should not be too hard for them to set up ?

I would suggest that next time you take a screen recording of this process, showing your affiliate name at the bottom of the payment screen. (Of course, you don't need to show yourself entering any credit card details!). Then a couple of days later you can have a thorough look through your ClickBank account. Look both in "Transactions" and in "Analytics". If the sale doesn't show, then take a screenshot (blanking out any sensitive details). Then with video and screenshot combined, you have some hard evidence.

    Cheers,

    Leon

Before creating such kind of threads try to keep your proofs ready(A video), I don't see any problem from my side. I am getting sales as usual.

My clickbank account I think has been messing up as well.

I was popping 1 - 2 sales per day for 2 weeks in arrow then blank (0 sales) for 6 days until yesterday. Doesn't make any sense to me. Its like they have a good week then a bad week and it just goes back and forth and it doesn't seem to ever end.

Also yesterday I did a blast to my email list and my Aweber account showed 181 clicks to the URL and I setup the tracking ID and checked my clickbank account and clickbank never showed any stats for my tracking ID I used in my email blast even though it got 181 clicks.

I then checked my clickbank account 3 hours later and it finally showed the tracking ID and the amount of HOPs it received. So maybe they where down? Maybe they don't update in real time? I dunno but it always seems like something is wrong.

Yes, it would be nice to see some hard evidence next time.

This time however, you can still contact the publisher (to see if the sale did go through on his/her side). If you used your real email with the purchase, you should have a receipt id - something that both publisher and clickbank can track and see what's going on.

I suggest you give ClickBank a phone call as well and ask them about this receipt number. Let us know how it goes.

As for CTR variation and sales variation that snotb4all - they are easily explainable by statistics.

I'm selling my "ebook ebook" through Clickbank. But this makes me wonder if I should rely more on other systems to offer my new affiliate program.

I'm considering putting my ebook program up at PayDot.com to attract more affiliates ... Is it better for affiliates than Clickbank?

If you actually would take the time to read the link I've provided you would see the explanation right there.

It all depends on how many hops and sales a "non-zero day" has.
