    1) If you want your blog in your main domain, example.com, then upload all the wordpress files into your root directory (generally public_html)
    2) Then download the wp-config.php file and open it. Enter your database name, username and password in it.
    3) Now upload this file to your root directory.
    4) Now access this URL: http://example.com/wp-admin/install.php

I think you need to read readme.html file first which comes with wp and go step by step as per instruction there.

    1) create a database in your control panel
    2) create username and password for the database
    3) rename the wp-onfig-sample to wp-config
    4) uplaod files to your server
    5) run install script. it will take you through the process

** make sure your databse user has previsions to make changes in the database

do you have cPanel on your hosting account? If you do, log in, go straight to Fantastico - Wordpress - New Installtion then fill in the details. It's quite easy. If you don't have a cPanel account, it's done manually, you might need some help with it. You might have to pay someone if you don't know what you are doing.

When i am using FTP I do not find file public_html and for that what can I do?
I have edited wp-config.php this file.
Can you tell me what is root directory?I do not understand this term. How I can find the root directory?

Mate I have read that.In that I do not understand last point.
Place the WordPress files in the desired location on your web server:

    * If you want to integrate WordPress into the root of your domain (e.g. http://example.com/), move or upload all contents of the unzipped WordPress directory (but excluding the directory itself) into the root directory of your web server.

I do not understand this point.

    Thanks for your help guys.

    Hi

What is the domain name you are trying to install wordpress on ?
Have you actualy uploaded any files to any folder(s) online ?
Have you edited and uploaded the wp-config.php file ?
Have you accessed the url which is something like this http://example.com/wp-admin/install.php (If so have you been presented with an error) ?

The root directory is a folder at the highest level which contains all other folders.

You say you cant go ahead with the wordpress install why cant you install it?, what is the problem? we need to know what the problem is before helping you ...
Also another point have you create the database, username and password for that database for which the install wordpress will use.

The root directroy is the main folder where your domain will be going to work. In linux, it is public_html, while in windows it is wwwroot. You can consult your host for this issue.

Could be some problem with the host itself. Try switching hosts.

Hi, it seems their is issue with your hosting company,

This happens some time when you have new hosting account and some entries in DNS are not updated.

i was having quite similar issue with my hosting, i logged a ticket to them and it got resolved too quickly.

    Regards,
