You need to be little bit patience to get PR5. Since page rank depends on lots of factor.Promote your site through proper seo techniques means ethical SEO.Firstly do the on-page optimization and then off-page optimization and you will definitely achieve good PR.

PR comes from backlinks to your site. It is NOT based on content (although the better the content, the easier it will be to acquire those backlinks). Get backlinks from sites that already rank well for the keyword(s) you are targeting and forget about PR.

You need links from PR5 or higher sites. The links should be of quality ones and thematic to your site's niche. Also the site linking to yours need to have limited number of outbound links to pass on the PR juice. At times if you have even one link from a PR5 - it could pass on the same PR to your site as well. However in most cases it would be PR4 or less.

This is wrong. Updating your site or the quality of content has nothing to do with PR. PR comes 100% from backlinks. It is the ONLY way.

I disagree with you. Content and Backlinks both are important.

You can't do anything in SEO without anyone of the factors.

If it is possible please prove it to me, +rep for you. :D

You can get up to pr 3 from a unique quality content alone, but if you want to have a higher pr you need quality backlink... 1,5 mil backlink should get you a PR 6

It takes time to get PR 5 brother, directly just with in 2 or 3 months you wont get PR5. Just keep doing white hat SEO and increasing back link and you would definitely get the good result.

Content has NOTHING directly to do with PR. As I said, good content can help you get backlinks, but only backlinks pass PR. You can have the greatest content ever made, but without backlinks, you will have no PR. Content helps for SERPS, but not for PR. This is a basic newbie 101.

Show me a domain that has a PR3 with no backlinks (and use yahoo since we all know google only shows a fraction of known backlinks).

Since toolbar PR only updates every 3 months or so, it's possible that a domain (especially dropped domains) may show PR after losing all backlinks until the next update, but google uses internal PR which is updated much more often, not the toolbar PR.

There is no amount of set backlinks for any PR. Approximately 85% of PR can pass, but that is divided between the number of links of the page. Toolbar PR is rounded down. It's possible to get a PR7 with a single PR8 backlink (PR 8.5 x 85% = PR7) if that was the only link on the page (which isn't likely to happen).
