    Hallo Seo_Genius

Thanks for such an informative and educating post. I have read your other thread as well.

Recenetly, I analysed my keyword competitors (top ones) and checked which sites are linking to it. I found one related site was linking to it. I managed to get a reciprocal link from that site. And, to my amazement, my site jumped on first page from 10+ search pages, in a day only. Certainly, it worked for me.

All my articles are original. The bad part is there is no way to copyright articles on here. Or is there anyone I don't know about?

    Thanks again for your observation!

Unfortunately it gets worse than that .... I think that your article may enter many other sites, I may be wrong, but there are a lot of websites that automatically crawl DP and grab the post content via RSS feeds and publish the posts.

Generally though it's the BST section that gets replicated on websites - like sites that list websites and domains for sale.

    Hi
This is Rajeesh from India. I think you are right while researching keywords we some times opt for keywords that has more search count and due to that it has more search volume. And that is also a fact that these searchers are not interested in buying or something but only to get information. Targeting those that have average search count as well as low search volume is better because these searchers are looking for our products.

Can you suggest me some tool that helps in understanding the conversion rate of a keyword?

Also tell me whether targeting shorter keywords help in the rankings for long tail keywords too?

You can try goodkeywords.com. It is free.

It depends on the competition for the long tail keyword. Since you are not optimizing for the long tail keyword, you may not rank for it unless the competition is extremely really quiet. For example, if you check on Google "electronics" and "cheap electronics" you will find out that all the top 10 results are totally different. This is the same situation, even if the keyword has a longer tail.
    I hope this helps
