I can do the coding and everything, but what I'd like to know is the best place for a domain and to host it. Also the best places to get ads from, like adsense.

    Thanks!

For hosting go and get a vps or hosting from godaddy and the domain from godaddy. Ads that i like are from adsense, adbrite, and bidvertiser.

I would definitely stay away from GoDaddy. Read here why.

For all my domains I use Namecheap.com, they're only $9 a year with free Privacy Guard. (GoDaddy would charge you at least $15-$20)

For hosting, here are some reviews from my perspective. Hope this helps a little...

Remember it's always important to separate your registrar from your host. That way if your host suspends your site for some reason you still have the registered domain name and can simply point it somewhere else.

Shared hosting plans can work just fine if you're just starting out - no need to incur extra expenses at the begining.

I would use HostGator for starting out as it's a fairly good service. Their Customer Service isn't always great, but their uptime is very good and their prices are reasonable.

With domains, I've used GoDaddy for years and never once had an odd bill or had any problems with them at all. However, there are hundreds of domain registrars out there like NameCheap.com, who I've heard good things about.

I put my vote in for GoDaddy or Namecheap to register the domain name, and HostGator for hosting. I've used MANY hosts in the last 12 years, and they ARE the best.
