OK, so I just launched my new website last week. I'm doing my best to do a bit of link building and it is already indexed by google and appearing for some keywords a couple of pages down. I think the fact its appearing already for some keywords is pretty good! Anyway, I just want to see what people think of the site in general, and ways it could be improved. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!! (Link in signature!!)
I do not like the template, the site would look better if you got a more professional template and add a logo to it.
Thanks for the replies. The logo is in the top left, a logo doesn't necessarily have to be a meaningless icon.. The site is more focussed on functionality than design. If I get all the functionality in place that I would like to implement then I may think about design, but that will do for now. However "kingofsanda" - Looking at the links in your sig, you aren't really in a position to comment with state of your websites! No offense, but just think about giving advice on design before you do it! Suggested links removed, just added that on a whim.. gone
You need to add more attractive features in your site, its looking simple. And also change the color scheme..
I like the look of your site, it's pretty clean and has a definite purpose. I may actually use it to sell the piles of computers I have stored in my storage unit ...
Seems like an affiliate site. Either you're not that great at web programming, or you chose a junky template. You're logo is horrible, pretty much non-existent.
Why does everyone assume it's a template? The entire site was hand coded. What's wrong with the color? Bit late the change the colors now anyway...
The CompSell logo looks a bit skewed and rigid around the edges. It doesn't have a clean sharp look to it. The neon blue background for ads seems a bit out of place. The font used for "Powebook G4 15inch Mac Os C 10 5" doesn't feel very professional. Other than that, the site looks nice.
Thanks for that feedback, much appreciated! I've made some more tweaks, mainly to the "neon blue" and also made it so people don't feel like they are in a "made for ads" website!
