3rd page on Google, now what?

    Hi all,

My website is online since February 9, 2009. The URL is http://www.soccer-tricks-exclusive.com/

I´m on the 3rd page of Google search results for the phrase `soccer tricks`.

Here´s what I did so far to increase my ranking and website quality.
    - Maintain and submit my sitemap to Google, Yahoo, MSN
    - frequently checking for broken links
    - Wrote 5 articles. Submitted to Ezine and Digg and added my link in the 'about the author-box'
    - Exchange links with other relevant websites, most of these site are 'young' as well (around 1/day)
    - Optimized titles and keywords for individual pages
    - Submitted the website to DMOZ directory

As all webmasters, I want to be, at least, in the top 3 on Google. What can I do to further increase my ranking?

    Thanks in advance!

Try comparing your site to the SERF #1 and #2 using HubSpot's Website Grader

as I can see its not a very competitive term but congrats
Getting into 3rd page with a new site its not a big deal
What I suggest you to do its keep up doing same work as you done untill now but adding fresh content at least weekly helps a lot too

You're right. It wasn't very hard, but I don't want to get stuck. :)

    Thanks for the advice!

Aside from using website grader, I'd also suggest analyzing the top 2-3 sites and seeing what they are doing to attain their rank via keyword usage and on-site seo, as well as backlinks, and follow suit.

Just keep doing what you are doing aswell as possibly listing your site in relevant directories. Google ranking takes time and a lot of patience so build a good content site and build relevant links at a good pace and soon you will get there.

    Start link building, blogging, etc.

Also, February 9, 2009 is still within the "Google Sandbox" so it will be moving around alot.

May I suggest that you rethink you <title>. Move the site URL to the end if you really need it.

I could remove the URL in the <title>, but I added it to have my main keywords (soccer tricks) in the title tag.

Just keep creating unique content and building backlinks untill you make it to the top, or atleast first page. Either way don't stop doing SEO.

Keep building links. Links=rankings. IMO the content factor is BS.

You should refine your Title, META tags and other on page factors.

Continue links building will give the 1st page result

Well, just do a better job in your past activities. Focus more on the quality of your work rather than quantity.

Most of you say I have to keep building quality links. I participate in a link exchange program in which I can exchange links with relevant other websites. I also wrote some articles and published them. Do you have any more ideas for link building?
