Before you optimize your site you must make sure that you have a decent ammount of backlinks, It'll always improve your rankings. How Do I dominate my niche? Simple Choose a keyword regarding your niche. Don't choose a keyword that has a lot of competition. Thats a whole different story... and it is very difficult to rank with the top 10. Buy a domain name that has your keyword. Include your keyword in the meta description, meta tags and title. Include the keyword in your <h1></h1> and in your text. Give it some time, and you'll get a good ranking in search engines. Keyword density is the keyyy
are you serious? Does it really affect the ranking if you include your keywords in <b></b>? Didn't know this, could you explain it a bit more.... Thanks
What a load of baloney - it's not that it's all wrong, it's just such an incomplete picture - you must make sure that you have a decent ammount of backlinks" - yes, that is a large part of seo, and it's not something you can wave away, it takes promotion, it takes time and planning. "Choose a keyword regarding your niche. Don't choose a keyword that has a lot of competition. Thats a whole different story... and it is very difficult to rank with the top 10." - again, easy to say, but it takes research, commonsense and experience to judge when a keyword is worth targeting - not too much competition, but enough interest in it to make it worth your while. "Buy a domain name that has your keyword." - useful for a short-term project, not always the best idea for a longterm project - sometimes a catchy name that people remember is more useful than a clunky hyphenated one with your keyword shoe-horned in. "Include your keyword in the meta description, meta tags and title. Include the keyword in your <h1></h1> and in your text." very basic seo "Give it some time, and you'll get a good ranking in search engines. Keyword density is the keyyy" Keyword density is not the key. It's a minor factor. Do all that you've said, and you've only just started your seo - you can 'dominate' for an uncompetitive long-tail by doing what you've said - but that doesn't equate to dominating your niche.
I didn't explain everything of course.... You'll need to write a whole book to explain everything. I just provided some tips on how to get a better ranking for a certain keyword
.... I rank in the first place of google for a certain keyword. It takes a lot research of course, like I already said. But the points that I listed here really help Keyword density is not a minor part... It affects your ranking a lot!
Kinkyjoe does have a point. No thats no all there is to SEO BUT: If you go for very uncompetetive keywords, doing as he suggests it is often enough to get you ranked well. Its all a matter of the level of competition.
But surely an uncompetitive keyword is not usually worth targeting. I'm sure if I were to optimise a site for something like "nepenthis tshirt" there are a few people looking for exactly that, but not enough to justify a whole website. I would need to optimise for "tshirt" instead, and that's another matter.
That depends on the "uncompetitive keyword". It's true that nowadays there's more competition than ever and it is difficult to find a keyword that is popular yet uncompetetive. However there are some popular keywords that don't have that much competition. That's why deep research is crucial here..
