I don't need any. It's a widely-known issue, which can be found both here, and on the Webmater's section of proxy.org.

Yes, it's VERY annoying. "AreaConnect" is one of the sites my ad's redirected to. That is, until I got rid of GI.

Somewhat, yes. Stable traffic in itself though is quite valuable. Right now I'm earning ~ $600 a month from the network. If I decided to sell, I'd probably start the bidding at $1500.

I just cleaned up theproxyfinder.com a little bit, blacklisted a few people who i felt were making the site useless for people who dont push out 30 proxies per day and also people who feel the need to remove the backlink as soon as they submit. I will be keeping a closer eye on the submissions with regards to the backlink situation.

I also coded in support for twitter so when you submit a site to theproxyfinder.com we will "tweet" about it instantly, just a little experiment i thought i would try.

We have sent out over 85,000 hits to your proxy sites since we opend a couple of months ago :)

Do you think twitter is a good source of proxy traffic? I still doubt about twitter actually.

Maybe if people are creative and target the right people but if your just spamming the shit out of it then i doubt it.

Has this turned into a Spam thread now or something, if you want to sell something keep it to the B/S/T section!

Anyone think this is worth my time, starting a proxy creation service. Paying a base rate of $0.25 per proxy, and you pay less for the more you order. I can afford to run this as cheap as that, and was wondering would many of you use a service like this?

Hit me up for a coupon code and link to the site via PM if you want to try the service out.

Well, if you admit that TF does brings traffic to you and does brings ad clicks to you, $1 is small price to pay. :D

What I look for in a proxy:

Domain that doesn't give anything away, a panic button, not 100's of adverts, NO popups, when you enter the website you refresh the page X amount of times to display the proxy and also a proxy that allows you to enter secure areas.

Actually, after Will implemented $1 submission fee, tech-faq traffic seems to give some hits for 2-3 days, whereas before it was a spike in first few hours and gone for ever.

That idea is a good one and I'm actually thinking of doing it. However, with the fact that web proxy often get blocked fast makes me re-think if it worth the hassle creating something like this. I might for a paid service though. :p

AND WOW! THIS THREAD HAS BECOME A SPAM THREAD. WITH ALL THE OFFERS AND SELF PROMOTION. lol..

I've got a free week, in which I have nothing to do. And was just reading through this thread. And i've so far come up with 2 ideas to keep me busy this week. One of them, is an open source proxy list script. Featuring backlink checker, and obviously paid subscriptions, coupon codes etc.

The other idea was to create a mod for glype, restricting access to those users who pay a monthly amount, or maybe a pay as you go amount based upon the data.

Anyone think they might need either of these? Only going to bother with them if people actually need them.
