I cant complain, i got 16 years of use out of it, AIWA, not sure if their a decent brand but 16 years use from a stereo system isn't bad. :)

It had been ill for some time though.

About 5 years ago the tape decks went on it (remember cassettes) lol
About 2 years ago cds stopped playing on it.
About 18 months ago it could only be turned off by unplugging it.
About 1 year ago the amplifier lights no longer came on.
About 6 months ago, pressing a button and it selecting what you wanted was becomming hit n miss
This morning - no longer switches on.

For the last few years i was using it mostly to play the sound from my pc, instead of using pc speakers.

    Goodbye AIWA stereo. :)

It seems you have got the most out of your stereo and let it die peacefully. Anyway, you will never forget the brand AIWA :)

This is a sad day indeed! It's time to move on though - the stereo is in a better place.
