I cant complain, i got 16 years of use out of it, AIWA, not sure if their a decent brand but 16 years use from a stereo system isn't bad. It had been ill for some time though. About 5 years ago the tape decks went on it (remember cassettes) lol About 2 years ago cds stopped playing on it. About 18 months ago it could only be turned off by unplugging it. About 1 year ago the amplifier lights no longer came on. About 6 months ago, pressing a button and it selecting what you wanted was becomming hit n miss This morning - no longer switches on. For the last few years i was using it mostly to play the sound from my pc, instead of using pc speakers. Goodbye AIWA stereo.
It seems you have got the most out of your stereo and let it die peacefully. Anyway, you will never forget the brand AIWA
Awww... RIP stereo Sounds like a really good stereo! Well, the time has come for it's long life. xD My stereo died within 5 years of purchase.
The 16 year lifespan should have given you time to save for an awesome new stereo atleast! Go for a McIntosh: http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/default.asp
