Has YPN started approving non-US accounts? Its been quite a while since they started. Any news or idea?

They are still in BETA, until they stop using "Beta" as part of their wording for their publisher network, more than likely it will be only U.S based.

Why do you think "USAians" will make less money?.
i don't see any logic in that.

If YPN opens to international publishers that means the inventory available will increase drastically, whereas the amount of advertisers will not keep up. Keep in mind Yahoo has international advertisers that advertise on yahoo.co.uk and yahoo.de and the other dozens of international regional sites Yahoo owns. Opening up YPN for international publishers wont yield more international advertisers. When more inventory is available then the advertisers are buying you get low paying defaults which means revenue will go down.

You do realize that if they go worldwide teh rates will drop so bad that they are going to fall below rates of Google. They are barely maintaining rates higher then Adsense with US publishers only, there is no way they will be able to compete with Google on a worldwide scale at current rates.

Thats soo true! It will go down horrible if they move outside the US. They need to stay US only (such as chitika). It will get bad, and I might go back to adsense if that happens :( (I hate google ;) )

The only way Yahoo will be able to make a successful launch to worldwide publishers is if their advertiser base increases drasticly. Things arent looking good cause MSN is starting to become a bigger player and Google is not drowning in its glory.

The only reason Yahoo would go worldwide is if runs out of inventory for its advertisers, and needs the added inventory. It would be highly selective and still accept only US traffic. So if your living in Europe and don't have over 60% US traffic stop waiting around for Yahoo cause even if it does come which it wont for a long time, it will not want you as a publisher.

I dont know about other country, but in my country, ppl recognize yahoo advertising more than adsense, that's mean more possibility for for more advertiser.

The thing your not understanding is Yahoo is not accepting international publishers, but they are accepting international advertisers. If I lived in China, and wanted to advertise on yahoo.cn I could signup to advertise. Yahoo has more then enough chinese traffic on yahoo.cn and doesent need mroe inventory. Getting more chinese inventory would mean Chinese advertisers would lower their bids, and still be able to get same amount of clicks.

Just cause yahoo is bigger then Google in your country doesent mean Yahoo will gain anything from acepting publishers from your country. They always welcome advertisers, and untill they have more people buying ads then they have inventory available they will nto look for publishers in your country.

I would hope that Yahoo! will slowly roll out availability to international publishers. I certainly wish that it will allow Canadian publishers to join first. :D

It would be great for international publishers to have choices when selecting ad networks.

For me, either Yahoo compete with Google or die in a matter of time. They should think globally if they want to compete with Google. Or else they will loose grip on internet marketing business.

If anyone can get YPN account it will finally make the market. GAS is good but a competitor would be nice. AB is not what I will stay with. But I would like to get YPN
