I noticed lately that most bloggers within the internt marketing niche either talk about making money with site flipping or affiliate marketing. On the contrary, readers either want to learn flipping or affiliate marketing as well which means maybe both are hot topics. So i thought its interesting to ask people's opinion on whether what is the one they prefer or do best. Personally I prefer affiliate marketing because I've never done flipping websites. Anyway, I have done a post on my blog about the comparison and also had a poll on it so I do hope you vote..
Personally I prefer site filpping, you have more proof of the work you have put in your self, and it just interests me alot more than the marketing.
I prefer both the same. I make good money affiliate marketing. (mlm, matrix programs, included) but when you can flip a website, it makes you some nice cash also. Thanks, Birddog
He may have never done affiliate marketing or site flipping, but there are dozens of books on the subject. We all know what it involves. I guess in my case I actually tried it and can honestly say I like site flipping, but most of the time I can honestly say if I had to get rid of a site, it is because I don't have time for it. I will always work on it to some degree, and then when I feel there isn't much more I can do, and if I don't want it anymore, then I will sell it. Normally it will be hard for me to sell something, since I spent a lot of time to perfect the design and content. I am somewhat of a perfectionist.
I prefer both short term. I prefer affiliate marketing long term. Affiliate marketing is truly a business where you can make money while you sleep. Once you learn to do it, theres no end to how much you will make.
Affiliate marketing (although I've never done site flipping, other than a few Squidoo lenses). If you set your affiliate marketing campaign up correctly, you can build long-term assets like a subscriber list that can pay you dividends for years that you usually don't get with just building and flipping websites (unless you've worked out some sort of special arrangement with the buyer).
I think a combination of affiliate marketing and flipping is good. Flipping is a useful method for generating quick cash. The downside is that a flip gives you a one-off payment, but no future income. Affiliate marketing is better in the long run because it builds your passive income stream.
Affiliate marketing is my fave although you can make money doing both. I'm not amazing at building websites so I find affiliate marketing works better for me.
Site flipping is a constant work requiring a lot of repeated routine efforts, whereas with affiliate marketing if you manage to promote a site that it would require only maintanance and, hence, less work and potentially more income in the long run.
no offense but i think site flipping is more like "pretending" to buyers that the site is profitable which indeed is not... Thats why I never liked it...
