Got the traffic, got the clicks- but still low revenue!

Ok guys, I've managed to get a decent amount of targeted traffic to my site, and I'm getting a good amount of clicks on my ads- but why such horrible revenue? I just started to use the Competitive Ad Filter today but I don't think I'm going to get much outcome.

I mean, 278 impressions and 8 clicks got me $.67!!

Can someone tell me what's going on?

Here's my site (Still cant post live links ):

That's about a 3% CTR and 8 cents per click.
    What were you expecting exactly?

Try improving the ad placement, that should help a little bit with income. As I have checked your site, it has pretty good content, but not so much traffic. If you could improve your traffic you will most likely make more money from your site.

Actually, one click was worth 32 cents while the other 7 were worth a total of 35 cents. Honestly, I was expecting a little more along the lines of 10-15 cents per click.

Wow, just fiddled around with the competitive ad filter and I'm already seeing the effects! 3 clicks and I got $.76 for them. :)

I'm going to monitor my clicks more and see what ads are getting clicked to filter out the low paying ones. :D

    Thanks! :)

I just had (at least what in my book is) a phenomenal day. Received 100 visitors, 74 uniques, 500+ ad impressions, and 11 clicks on my ads bringing in a $1.16. I know it's small, but considering I started 9 or 10 days ago from ground zero, website and all, I'm quite pleased. :)

Also what you can do to increase your earnings is to place more of those "728x15_4" AdSense ads below the navigation bar on your site.
