Hello! I found this nice .com registrar and was thinking of getting some domains, but before I go on, I want to make sure I don't get scammed. Anyone had experience with them? or anyone can recommend a cheap .com registrar. Thank you!
doh i forgot to post it still sleepy.... sorry setname.net is the link.. I'm not preety sure if the guy who owns it is from here.. but I remember I got the link in this forums..
well any registrar that sells domain with a loss won't last for long if you want to be sure just go with a regular big name registrar
Never heard about them before. And they are operating their domain business from a .net? Why not a .com? I've never heard of a reputable domain company not going with a .com besides idotz.net
looks like they are reseller of resellerclub.com Both resellerclub.com and setname.net have same offer.
I mean offers only, not the price. http://resellerclub.com/promos/ http://setname.net/content.php?action=promos
They offer .com domains bellow ICANN price. Plus ICANN charges a mandatory fee for .com, .net, .org, .info, and some other domain extensions. Why do they plan to make money in order to stay on the market?
They are resellers not registrars. Just check their renewals pricing. New comers often do all this to get the market share but frankly speaking, they won't be able to make it for too long. I am also a reseller but I never break the pricing. I offer the standard market pricing then no matter what other people do. To be honest, its always better to work ethically and be practical.
For me it is not important to have domain with cheap registrar and I am ready to pay more to register domains with reliable regisrars like NameCheap, Network Solutions and GoDaddy!
this is the new domain price for the first year... http://setname.net/domain.php?action=domain_pricing the renewal is 6.79 per year. this is not big either, but you wont know how log this offers are valid. i wud like to compare godaddy giving 0.99 promotions / register.com giving free .com for the first year.. and this isnt a surprise.. its a buffer the reseller is offering to gain some market share..
