Forum Post Exchanges

    Hi Everyone

    I have just started a new forum and I am looking for ways to get it off the ground. Some of the advice given to me in another thread here told me a good way to get a forum off and running is to do a post exchange with other people who are also attempting to start a forum.

    What I propose is simply this a 1:1 ratio of posts from me to your site and from you to my site. I'm thinking like somewhere around 10 or 20 posts traded each.

    Please PM me if you are interested in this, or PM me and let me know how many posts you made your username and the URL of your forum.

    Its not so much for SEO its to kick start the forum. I've been pushing people to my site all weekend but they don't stick around.

    They take the time to read through the stuff that I have already posted but no one seems eager to join a forum that has no other members yet.

    I am hoping that this will inspire people to join, and then others will follow.

    Whoever came up with this idea originally deservers a medal, cus this is truely a great aND COST EFFECTIVE strategy. It's great because ppl will actually post quality stuff because they want the same on their forum

    Great respones everyone.

    I sure hope this is going to work.

    I am quickly realizing that this could turn into alot of posts fror all of us, and much better than the other option of talking to yourself under several different user names.

    Because of the number of people I am now doing this with I would like to keep the exchanges down to 10 or 15, making 20 or 30 posts is just a bit much.

    Hope everyone is cool with this. I will ofcourse finish all larger batches that we have already agreed on.

    Oh yea johny I have a suggestion, you need to fill up your front forum page with lots of key words related to your topic. Arguing, ranting, raving etc etc

    Because the adsense ads being shown are email spam ads, 100% not related to your toppic:)

    If you dont want to change any of your category names or anything to make it sound forced, you may need to go with some hidden text;)

    I suggest Dennis miller as a keyword:D

    I've been posting to your site. I think 10:10 would be better for now, and then maybe 10:10 again next week once we both have more users and a larger post base set up.
