TOP 3 Keyword Research Tools I Use

Are you guys struggling to find the right keywords to optimize your site and drive more traffic to your site? I know I have in the past until I found these 3 tools that I now use for all of my websites. The TOP 3 tools I use for keyword research are:

    Research of Keyword Worth
    - Spyfu - gives you a rough estimate of the cost per click

    Research of Competition
    - Google Keyword Tool - this helps you research competition and the amount of searches to keywords

    Research of longtail keywords
    - SEO Book - I use this one to get an idea of how many people search for certain keywords and spinoffs of those keywords. I look for keywords with over 100 views per day.

P.S. - None of these websites are mine. I am just sharing this information with you guys @ DP because I thought it might be useful for some of you! Thanks.

Why shouldn't people try Spyfu? Or do you mean you haven't tried Spyfu?

Spyfu is crap - it doesn't work. The results are so far off that it's laughable. I've tested in on 5 of my sites and my company's site, and the results are no where near the actual ones for any of their metrics....

have anybody tried market samurai? it's kinda booming nowadays. i think besides checking estimated cpc and competitors, maybe you should check the possibility of your keyword commercial intention.

ps: if you are interested, i've just created a post in my personal blog regarding this keyword research tool at:

Glad you like this tool! I think it is pretty helpful even if it isn't the most accurate tool. It gives you a rough idea of how certain keywords perform.

Thanks for giving everyone some great tools that can be used for keyword research.

I read of another one, that is fairly new and is also created by Google:

    Google - Search-Based Keyword Tool at http://www.google.com/sktool/#

Here is a bit of a Quote on how it works:
"The Search-based Keyword Tool generates keyword and landing page ideas highly relevant and specific to your website. In doing so, the tool helps you identify additional advertising opportunities that aren't currently being used in your AdWords ad campaigns."

I have been experimenting with this tool and I am finding that it is not hard to use and it helps round out your strategy.

I hope this has been some help to others.

Thank you again for taking the time to help other people out.

    Best Regards,

    Diane
