    Your prove has some point. The domain has PR5 before but appeared for N/A in digpagerank lately. This is uncommon. But it seems that domain does not has reasonable number of links to backed up its PR5. It seems that PR might dropped to 0 or N/A after the update finished.

    does your domain name have to be a certain age to get a page rank? Mine is about 3 weeks old but I have been working hard at getting alot of links. Mine went from n/a to 0 yesterday will it change in the next page rank update?

    As I am not really interested in this fruitless discussion (PR matters, but not that much as it seems observing all this threads about it) - there is one thing I can guarantee (no ambitions to be the first to announce it), when the update starts, I'll see it without any fancy tool - and won't intend to announce it as there are for sure a few smart folks that have nothing better to do.

    Getting inboud links, the more (avoiding bad neighborhood), the better - the higher the page rank of the site carring your link, the better - it's just that. Easy talk, another question is how to get those links. ;)
