I have been making some adjustments to my template to accommodate private advertising. I added 2 video spots, hacked into the theme files (middle top and bottom). Do they look O.K ? Like they belong there, and does it fit well into the theme ? All opinions are welcome as well as any added tips. Thanks, first link in my sig.
To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about, but the site looks awesome Have you tried monetizing with Beatport instead of Itunes? I think it may pay more (not positive on that though)
If you can't tell then that is a good sign. Those video units in the middle (top and bottom), with the promo's in them, are not part of the theme, I just added them yesterday. They pretty much pay the same 10%. I was with Beatpot through Linkshare, and then they sent me a letter saying they were discontinuing with them. I never checked to see who they were with, or if they are still running an affiliate program. Do you know ? They don't have an affiliate link on thier site anymore.
I wasn't aware they dropped their affiliate program. That sucks. I suggested it because they deal primarily with electronic music.
Yeah it does. I remember seeing a banner on someones site since that happened, but there was no mention, when they sent out the emails, that they were changing companies or running their own program...it was basically "we have decided to discontinue the program with Linkshare and all affiliates need remove the banners". Made quick change today, pushing the left sidebar down to start below the video ad, so there will be no competing images or ads next to it, and then moved the video over to span across the blog to the right sidebar, so now for a potential paid advertiser the video will be a focal point. How's it look ?
