I just logged onto my blog about 3 hours ago, fixed a few posts, came back on it just now and the wordpress reverted itself to about 1 month ago, so now im - hundreds of posts, - new template that i added. All my plugins are gone, all my templates are gone, funny enough the first ever custom template i had still is there. Could i have been 'hacked' although why would .. how would i get to revert my posts about 1 month back .... im really annoyed, i dont have any recent backups of it ...
Do you think there is still a chance of my site being restored back to normal?(i emailed them but they take 48 hours to reply, and usually its a copy n paste answer ..)
It could be your hosting provider who have changed/restored your account to an earlier time & depending on which one you are using, you can get a backup !
Even if i didnt make one? Also im 100% its their fault, i just checked my sitemap and its a really really really old one ...
I've spent about 6 hours updating hundreds of video links yesterday ...... pff i feel like i need to find a new host, lunarpages is a piece of crap, unless you like daily downtime, slow site upload, and best of all revert your site back to a couple of months ago.
Any decent host will do regular (at least daily) backups, though any decent host wouldn't do this to your blog in the first place. I'd move your site to somewhere more reliable asap. Also start backing up your blog too! If you are using WordPress here is a post of mine that lists a good backup plugin with usage instructions.
You should of read reviews before signing up with them. They should have a back up of your content if not there is nothing you can really do. Next time make your own backups . Good Luck!
