What would be other free alternatives for getting targeted traffic to my site other than spending endless hours in niche related forums posting backlinks? Preferably something less intensive, but just as effective. I'm not looking for an easy way out, but it would be nice to know of other alternatives. Thanks in advance, -AJ
plazatimes great info, articles are a very powerful way of getting traffic to your site. Also backlinks from site that are doing the same thing as you can bring in a few more people to your site you could try youtube post a few video's there withh a watermark of your site Craigs list is also a great website to pull in traffic. i hope my two cents helps you out
Use PPC, targeted and less work, but you gotta pay the cost If looking for free method, you need to work hard , SEO is the best. Besides, article submission and forum posting is also good in get short term traffic

You do not necessary have to do a live video of yourself, you can use screen capture to record your screen and give a presentation about your niche Blog - Create a free blog at Blooger.com or workdpress.com and link it back to your site. Social Bookmark - make sure you bookmark you new blog to the many places out there like digg and stumbleupon Twitter/Myspace/Facebook - Setup account and direct people to your website.
Thanks for the advice guys. I already have a Youtube video bringing in 3500-4500 hits a day (It's been increasing lately ). It has 1,040,962 hits and counting. I have an annotation that points to the sidebar, which has a link to my site, telling people to visit my site which is highly related to the video. Problem is, out of the 3500-4500 people, only 30-40 people visit. There has to be a better, more convincing way to utilize this traffic. I don't really have an interest in what I'm publishing. And I certainly won't pay out of my pocket for PPC.
