Hy! i want to start an adult tube, and i am stuck on chosing the hosting. Do you have any ideas? what should i need? a vps? a dedicated server? which one are the best?What hosting company do you have in mind , that has at least 200-300 Gb space? Maybe the first month free, would be too much? I would like something cheap at first , but to have the option to increase, as the site grows... thanks
what does your script require? software-wise I mean. If it isn't too much then you could start off with a shared and then go to a vps then dedicated as the site grows and any shared host offering you 200-300gb space is overselling and you shouldn't trust them at all. They'll shut you down without hesitating. VPS on the other hand is a bit more secure. Just depends on what you want to do.
For 300GB space, don't think any VPS are suitable for your need, you should be check for dedicated servers. Then for a first month trial check out the burstnet offers, they give a free 1 month trial.

Video websites grow really fast, so I would say you jump into a low end dedicated server. Make sure you get a lot of bandwidth because video sites will eat it all up . - Daniel
Are you going to have uploading videos or embled videos? (upload to server) or (just code linked videos , will play on your site but hosted on diff location)

You'll need at LEAST a dedicated server with an unmetered line or you're asking for crazy bandwidth overages. Don't let anyone else tell you different, a VPS will not suite your needs, shared hosting is absolutely out of the question. EDIT: You posted right before me, what kind of budget are you working with for your dedicated server?
