I expected this place to be going crazy with threads about Watchmen! Has everyone seen it yet? What do you all think? I've read the book prior to seeing the movie so I was a little biased. To those who haven't read the book but seen the movie, did you like it? Did you find any of it shocking or confusing??
Yeah I thought they might be a little less graphic with the movie compared to the book but it's from the same guy who directed 300, so the gore isn't any worse than that I don't think. Definitely not a kid's comic book movie though
I thought the movie was quite good. Some parts were a little deep and I think I'd understand it better if I were to read it. Rorschach was by far the best character - most developed and acting wise. Manhattan was also good. The other characters imo were underdeveloped (no pun intended for silk specter II ) and the acting was mediocre. I also wasn't quite sure what the comedians joke was?
My wife & I just saw "Watchmen" on Friday. We definitely loved this film........it was worth seeing in the theater. I personally felt that its a better film than "Dark Knight" and "Iron Man" put together!
Yea, I'm definitely going to be reading teh book - and painting my room with all the characters!!! Hmm... maybe not, I am 21 years old.
The director's cut is going to be even longer, I hear it includes a lot of what they left out in the cinemas (Black Freighter etc).
I'm very interested in seeing this movie. Hoping to go within the next week, working daily now, ugh. Glad to see a lot of you like it.
