I have looked around my area (Cincinnati) and i offer web design prices for about 1/3 cheaper then anyone else around here. The only problem is i really havent had many visitors. Anyone know of any good sites to advertise on or ways to market. Im on google maps but I need something more. Please help.

Try advertising in the local newspaper, craigslist.org, and backpage.com

Think outside the box. You're in a competitive market.

Find local companies who don't yet have a website and design a mock-up for them. Then contact them and show them the concept. It's easier to sell them when they can "See" something. Don't forget to sell them by reminding them about their competition and how they have a website ...oh, and also how a website will increase business in these tough times. Most people research before they buy using the web...etc. etc. - you get the idea.

Make sure you upsell these companies on monthly website maintenance plans, monthly marketing services and hosting - recurring commissions are like finding gold

You can also do this with companies that have ugly websites. It's not a big risk and you would also be building your portfolio.

Offline marketing would be the best if it's for a local business.

Online marketing, I would say craigslist.

Craigslist would be a good place. You can also put ads on newspapers, build your own site and advertise on local websites.
You can also join freelance websites and find clients there.

You can also find forums in the area that you're looking at and start posting some listings there.

This way you will get a clientele relationship with your customers.
