I generally help them as much as I can, and even encourage me 4y/o son to do the same as I dont want him creating the same kind of sepratist thinking thats screwed society up to a large extent. Every now and then though I wont if I get a bad vibe of them :/ crovean
I only help disabled beggars but i have also heard that there are many gangs of beggars which makes people handicap especially for the purpose of begging so as they can attract more and more donors to themselves. Many of them used to buy drugs and other addicted chemicals including snuffs, cocaine and lot more from them. Therefore it is advisable to instead of giving them money, give them food and other stuffs.
in some third world country, gangster kidnap kid and break their limbs. The gangster force them to beg and take their money.. the are only one way to stop it,,don't give them money
its an individual thing some ppl dont believe in helping beggars..feel that it makes them more dependent..
I don't encourage this habit of giving anything, especially the ones i find near the traffic signals and shopping places. All this will end up making them PARASITES. They would be depending on us all the time for money, food etc. Most of them are like this( I can't say it for all, some of them might be genuine). I feel that instead of giving them money or anything, we must encourage them to go and search for some kind of work. All they do is stand and ask for money-the laziest form of earning money. And as zerosleep says, they don't spend on the basic amenities or necessities and go in for useless things like drugs, cigarettes, tobacco, alcohol etc.
last day i gave 2 $ to a begger.... but now in india lots of fake beggers are there so somtimes we may get fooled!
yep, but sometimes i know that if il help them and give them money they will go buy a bottle of alcohol or something, so i dont give them. :S
I never give money to beggar, i give food or cloths, if i give money they misuse it as they don't know how to use it.So it's better to give food and cloths.
